S / M / L  SIZES TO MEET YOUR PRODUCTION NEEDS

A series of building sizes and equipment options to meet S/ 2,500, M/ 5,000 and L/ 10,000 case production levels are available. Utilizing a 60% red / 40% white winemaking model, the various plans have been created to efficiently function at smaller production levels and to accomodate incremental expansion in the future. With each size increase, the layout options and building systems address expanded levels of receiving, production and storage to support additional winemaking capacity.

 

Recognizing that each winery will utilize different varietals, wine-making practices, equipment and process technology, FIRST PRESS WINERY is designed to find an appropriate middle ground - meeting the generic needs of a small winery located in a variety of wine-growing regions. Three different variations of tank layouts and sizes are provided, allowing for “stock” customization to meet individual needs. Designs assume closed-top fermentors, but allow each layout to be easily modified for open-top tanks and punch-down equipment. Storage needs are calculated for 100% of the wines to go into barrels and 30% of the reds to be aged for 2-years.
